Description: Effect: As opposed to identify, this spell allows the caster to learn about specific powers of an item which is subjected to the dweomer. This casting will reveal the command word(s) needed to operate and/or activate magical devices, provided the caster can make a successful roll versus Information for each separate activator. Also note that the caster can make one such attempt for each level. The same is true for discovery of properties of the subject item, each of which requires one level, but without the neccessity of a Information roll. The spell takes 30 minutes to cast.
